Zusammenfassung

Akute Bauchschmerzen gehören zu den häufigen Vorstellungsgründen in pädiatrischen Notfallambulanzen sowie beim niedergelassenen Kinderarzt. Basis jeglicher differenzialdiagnostischer Überlegungen stellen eine fundierte Anamnese und die komplette körperliche Untersuchung dar. Ergänzt werden diese durch laborchemische Untersuchungen und die Bildgebung, hier in aller erster Linie die Sonografie (Abb. [8]). Neben akut interventionsbedürftigen Krankheitsbildern wie der akuten Appendizitis und der ileocolischen Invagination gilt es auch extrabdominelle Krankheitsbilder wie die Pneumonie in differenzialdiagnostische Überlegungen einzubeziehen. Darüber hinaus können sich auch chronisch-rezidivierende Bauchschmerzen, die häufiger funktioneller Natur sind, als akutes Geschehen präsentieren. Dies trägt zusammen mit der Fülle möglicher intra- und extraabdomineller Differenzialdiagnosen zur Komplexität des Symptoms „akute Bauchschmerzen“ bei.
