Since 1998 the Council of the French Society of Digestive Endoscopy has published standards for good practice in endoscopy. At present these recommendations appear to be the best way of arriving at optimal practice. Written by a group of experts and corrected by an even larger expert group, they are regularly updated in written form in order to help with decision making.
