Abstract
There are several accreditation agencies available for stroke center certification. The most widely accepted is the Joint Commission (TJC). There are different tiers of stroke-specific accreditation. The key differentiating points between the degrees of stroke accreditation involve increasing availability of multidisciplinary expertise. All levels of accreditation require site surveys and data collection.
