Abstract

A clinical study of the effect of Caulophyllum 7c in normal labour is reported. Caulophyllum was given to 22 women in their first pregnancies who had gone into labour spontaneously. 17 of them had normal spontaneous deliveries.

Caulophyllum was tolerated. Compared to 34 labours retrospectively selected by the same criteria, the duration of labour in Caulophyllum-treated women was reduced by about 90 minutes.
