Summary
A detailed study of 164 cases of tetanus neonatorum is presented.
Cases were divided into 4 groups and were given different types of treatment. The
results of the different therapies are analysed and compared.
Stramonium, hitherto not thought of as a possible remedy for tetanus, was found to be effective
in this disease along with Nux vomica. The brief indications for these remedies are given.
Overall mortality in the present series is also compared with the mortality rates
in different countries.
