Kontrastmitteldosierung und Optimierungspotenzial in der CT

Grundsätzlich wird bei CT-Untersuchungen empfohlen, die zu applizierende Kontrastmittelmenge über das Körpergewicht zu berechnen, wobei ebenfalls noch Protokolle mit fixen Kontrastmittelmengen angewendet werden. Im Folgenden werden berücksichtigungswürdige Aspekte im Zusammenhang mit einer Kontrastmittelapplikation aufgezeigt sowie Berechnungsmodelle zur Ermittlung der individuell benötigten Kontrastmittelmenge vorgestellt und diskutiert.

Usually, it is state of the art to calculate the necessary contrast media dose for a CT examination using the patient’s body weight. However, protocols with fixed volumes are still used. The aim is to show aspects which are relevant for the application of contrast media in CT and to present and discuss different calculation methods for contrast media.
