Sharmila Subramaniam et al. A novel self-assembling peptide for hemostasis during endoscopic submucosal dissection: a randomized controlled trial

A novel self-assembling peptide was shown, in this single-center randomized controlled trial involving 101 patients, to reduce the need for thermal therapy for intraprocedural hemostasis during esophageal or colonic ESD, with no difference in procedural time, time for hemostasis, or delayed bleeding rate. Further studies are needed to investigate the cost–effectiveness of this peptide.
