Quirine E. W. van der Zander et al. Optical diagnosis of colorectal polyp images using a newly developed computer-aided diagnosis system (CADx) compared with intuitive optical diagnosis

A new computer-aided diagnosis (CADx) system, using high-definition white-light (HDWL) and blue-light imaging (BLI) for optical diagnosis of colorectal polyps, was prospectively evaluated. The authors found an overall diagnostic accuracy, combining HDWL and BLI, of 95.0%, which was significantly higher than that of experts (81.7%) and novices (66.7%).
