IgG4-assoziierte Erkrankungen – „Alt“ oder „neu“?
IgG-Related Diseases: “Old” or “New”?
Zusammenfassung
Als erstes Mitglied aus der Krankheitsfamilie der IgG4-assoziierten Erkrankungen wurde erstmals im Jahr 2001 die sklerosierende Pankreatitis erkannt. Doch natürlich waren zahlreiche andere klinische Manifestationen schon viel früher unter verschiedenen Namen in der wissenschaftlichen Literatur beschrieben worden. Dieser Artikel fasst einige der historischen Meilensteine dieser Entwicklung seit der Mitte des 19. Jahrhunderts zusammen.
Abstract
In 2001, sclerosing pancreatitis was recognised as the first member of the family of IgG4-associated diseases. However, it is hardly surprising that numerous other clinical manifestations were described in the medical literature much earlier. This article summarises some of the historical milestones of this development since the mid-19th century.
