sinnvoll und hilfreich.
Abstract
A gynecological examination is an intimate situation: what is a daily routine for
gynecologists is
associated with discomfort, shame and fear for many patients. This emotional discrepancy
as well as
possible erotic tension are barely recognized by those involved. To prevent this encounter
from becoming
an assault, professionals need to engage in appropriate self-reflection. Patients
need transparency and
information in order to have a say in the procedure and scope of the examination.
Guidelines from the
gynecological discipline and structured guidelines for the examination are useful
and helpful.
