Charlotte N. Frederiks et al. Endoscopic eradication therapy with multifocal cryoballoon ablation for Barrett esophagus-related neoplasia: a prospective European multicenter study

In 107 patients with dysplastic Barrett esophagus, focal cryoballoon ablation achieved complete eradication of dysplasia and intestinal metaplasia in 94% and 91% of patients, respectively, after a median of teo ablation sessions. Overall, 13% developed a stricture, with number of ablations being a risk factor. Comparison with other ablation techniques and modalities, especially for stricture reduction, is needed.
