Significance

The authors report an allylboration of α-amino aldehydes 2, which is under strict reagent control. This work presents a synthetic application of chiral borabicyclodecane (1) reported previously by the same group (J. Am. Chem. Soc. 2005, 127, 8044). Moderate yields and excellent enantioselectivities are obtained.
