PHENYLPROPAN–DERIVATE AUS DEM ÄTHERISCHEN ÖL VON LIMNOPHILA RUGOSA

Abstract

The essential oil from the fresh leaves of Limnophila rugosa (Roth) Merrill (Scrophulariaceae), from the plants raised in Kumaon (Uttar Pradesh, India) has been examined for its chemical composition by Chromatographie, N. M. R., I. R., U. V. andM. S. techniques. The presence of p-methoxy benzoic acid, anisaldehyde, anethole, estragole, other unidentified phenylpropane derivatives and one unknown tricyclic sesquiterpene (Ci ₅ H _M ) has been confirmed.

Zusammenfassung

Aus dem ätherischen öl der frischen Blätter der Scröphulariacee Limnophila rugosa (Roth) Merrill, die in der Region Kumaon (Uttar Pradesh Indien) gesammelt wurden, konnten p–Methoxybenzoesäure, Anisaldehyd, Anethol und Estragol isoliert werden. Die Strukturen weiterer Phenylpropan–Derivate und eines bisher nicht bekannten tricyclischen Sesquiterpenkohlenwasserstoffes (C ₁₅ H ₂₄) wurden nicht aufgeklärt.
