Summary
Experience with the new Olympus twin channel TGF-2L colonoscope is presented. Based on 60 examinations including 25 polypectomies it is concluded that the instrument when compared with other colonoscopes is easier to handle and its advancement within the colon is faster, smoother and therefore less disagreeable to the patient. The proximal colon is easier to reach than previously experienced. Polypectomy and retrieving of polyps can efficiently be undertaken. This instrument will undoubtedly further enhance the usefulness and therapeutic value of fibre colonoscopy.
Zusammenfassung
Es wird über die Erfahrungen mit einem neuen doppelkanaligen Koloskop von Olympus (TCF-2 L) berichtet. Auf Grund von 60 Untersuchungen, darunter 25 Polypektomien, kann geschlossen werden, daß das Instrument im Vergleich mit anderen Koloskopen leichter zu handhaben ist und daß es rascher, glatter und für den Patienten angenehmer eingeführt werden kann. Das proximale Kolon läßt sich leichter erreichen. Polypektomie und Polypenbergung sind einfach durchzuführen. Das Instrument stellt eine wertvolle Bereicherung für die Fiberkoloskopie dar.
