Clinical Experience with a New Convertible Panview Fiberscope

Summary

The experience with a multipurpose fiberscope is discussed. It is a new pan-endoscope with convertible antero-oblique, lateral viewing lenses designed for examining the upper gastrointestinal tract from the esophagus to the duodenal bulb. This ability can overcome the difficulty of endoscopic observation within the stomach and the duodenal bulb and offers ideal conditions for the observation of each part in the upper gastrointestinal tract, for example to detect the source of bleeding in urgent endoscopy, or in cases of stringent difficulties of insertion such as kyphosis, and so on.

Zusammenfassung

Es wird über die ersten Erfahrungen mit einem neuen Panendoskop, dessen Blickrichtung von Seitblick auf Prograd geschwenkt werden kann, berichtet. Mit diesem Instrument lassen sich alle Schwierigkeiten der Ausleuchtung im Bereich der kleinen Kurvatur und im Bulbus duodeni überwinden. Nicht nur bei akuten Blutungen, sondern auch bei extremer Kyphoskoliose und einem ptotischen Magen hat sich den Autoren das Panendoskop bewährt.
