There is a paucity of knowledge about prenatal and perinatal risks through maternal
amatoxin poisoning. No symptoms of amatoxin intoxication, except for a slight temporary
increase in liver enzymes activity, occurred in a term newborn after delivery despite
an Amanita phalloides intoxication of the mother 2 days before. Considering previous reports, severe fetal
intoxication may not occur during the entire pregnancy.
