Kognitive Verhaltenstherapie bei Schizophrenie – Wirksamkeit bei antipsychotikarefraktärer Positivsymptomatik

20–25  % der Patienten mit Schizophrenie leiden an einer persistierenden Positivsymptomatik, die auch durch neue atypische Antipsychotika nicht zufriedenstellend behandelbar ist. Deshalb werden in der medikamentösen Therapie zunehmend Kombinationen eingesetzt, die synergistische positive Effekte auf die Wahnsymptomatik haben und deren Nebenwirkungen antagonistisch sind. Neben der medikamentösen Therapie gewinnt die kognitiv–behaviorale Therapie an Bedeutung. Ziel der kognitiven Verhaltenstherapie ist nicht die Symptomfreiheit, sondern ein verbesserter Umgang des Patienten mit der Symptomatik.

20 to 25  % of schizophrenics suffer from a persistently positive pattern of symptoms which cannot be satisfactorily treated even with novel atypical neuroleptic agents. Hence, combinations are being increasingly used which exercise synergistically positive action on the manic symptoms and whose side effects are antagonistic. Alongside drug therapy increasing importance is attached to cognitive behavioural therapy. Behavioral therapy does not aim at complete freedom from all symptoms but rather at an improved attitude of the patients to their pattern of symptoms.
