Zusammenfassung
Bei drei Alkoholikerinnen mit symmetrischer Schwäche und Atrophien der Schulter- und
mehr noch der Beckengürtelmuskulatur wurde die klinische Diagnose „Myopathie” elektromyographisch
und bioptisch gesichert. Die Besserung nach Abstinenz bei zwei Patientinnen und das
Fortdauern der Beschwerden bei der nicht abstinenten machen eine alkoholbedingte Muskelschädigung
wahrscheinlich. Verlauf, Differentialdiagnose und Prognose der alkoholischen Myopathien
werden besprochen.
Summary
In three alcoholics with symmetrical weakness and atrophy of the shoulder and pelvic
musculature the clinical diagnosis of myopathy was confirmed electromyographically
and by biopsy. After abstinence the signs improved in two of the women patients while
in the third, who failed to abstain, no improvement was achieved. The course, differential
diagnosis and prognosis of alcoholic myopathy are discussed.

La miopatía alcohólica
En tres mujeres alcohólicas con debilidad y atrofias simétricas de la musculatura
del cinturón escapular y pélvico se aseguró el diagnóstico clínico de “miopatía” mediante
la electromiografía y la biopsia. La mejoría de dos de ellas tras la abstinencia y
la persistencia de las molestias en la no abstinente hacen probable una lesión muscular
causada por el alcohol. Se comentan el diagnóstica diferencial, el pronóstico y la
evolución de las miopatías alcohólicas.
