Zusammenfassung

Ein 70-jähriger Patient stellte sich mit 2 mittelgroßen Kolonpolypen beim niedergelassenen Gastroenterologen vor. Nach endoskopischer Polypektomie in einem Krankenhaus musste der Patient in einem anderen Krankenhaus erneut aufgenommen werden wegen eines Kreislaufkollapses und zunehmender abdomineller Beschwerden. Ein Abdomen-CT erbrachte den Befund eines Hämatoperitoneums sowie eines subkapsulären Milzhämatoms. Eine Laparotomie mit Splenektomie wurde durchgeführt bei ausgedehnter Milzruptur. Der postoperative Verlauf war unauffällig bis auf eine späte Wunddehiszenz.

Abstract

A 70-year-old man presented with two medium-sized colon polyps at the office of a gastroenterologist. After endoscopic polypectomy in a hospital, the patient was admitted to another hospital because of collapse and increasing abdominal pain. CT scan revealed hematoperitoneum and splenic subcapsular hematoma. Laparotomy with splenectomy was performed because of extended splenic rupture. The postoperative course was unremarkable except late wound dehiscence.
