Fernsehschäden bei Kindern

Zusammenfassung

Ein sechsjähriges Kind wurde während einer Fernsehsendung von schweren Angstsymptomen befallen. Die Angst hielt tagelang an, so daß stationäre Behandlung notwendig wurde. Erst nach einem Dreivierteljahr war die Krankheit bis auf Reststörungen abgeklungen. Auch aus anderweitigen Beobachtungen geht hervor, daß das Fernsehen schädigende Einflüsse besonders auf das psychische Befinden von Kindern ausüben kann.

A six-year-old girl developed a severe anxiety state while watching television. It persisted for several days and ultimately required hospital admission. It took nine months for the emotional disturbances to regress and a few minor symptoms have persisted. This case, and others reported in the medical literature, demonstrate the harmful effects that television programmes may have on a child's emotional state.

Daños por la televisión en los niños

Un niño de seis años fue invadido por graves síntomas angustiosos durante una emisión de televisión. La angustia se mantuvo durante varios días, por lo que fue necesario un tratamiento hospitalario. Sólo después de tres cuartos de año disminuyó la enfermedad hasta quedar en trastornos residuales. También de otra observación se desprende que la televisión puede ejercer una influencia perjudicial especialmente sobre el estado psíquico de los niños.
