Zur Schocktherapie mit Isoprenalin
Treatment of shock with isoprenalinePublication History
Publication Date:

Summary
Isoprenaline was administered to 12 patients in circulatory shock after acute myocardial infarction and six in shock of other causes associated with decreased cardiac function. All patients had an increased peripheral vascular resistance but adequate blood volume. Shock was reversed in three patients with myocardial infarction and five in shock due to other causes. It is concluded that the drug is indicated particularly in the treatment of non-coronary forms of shock associated with decreased cardiac function and increased peripheral resistance, but even in shock after acute myocardial infarction a short therapeutic trial with isoprenaline is justified.
