Significance

A solid-phase synthesis of pharmacological active pyrazole compounds has been described. The novel synthetic method proceeds via sydnone’s formation in a microwave reactor in order to act as azomethine imine-type dipoles. A 2-methoxybenzyl resin has been employed for this purpose and was easily cleaved from the desired pyrazoles in acidic conditions.
