Hydroxyapatite-supported gold nanoparticles (AuHAP) catalyzed the oxidation of silanes in water under air to afford the corresponding silanols in up to >99% conversion with up to 100% selectivity (18 examples). In the oxidation of triethylsilane, the catalyst was reused three times without loss of the catalytic activity (1st-3rd reuse: >99% conversion, >99% selectivity).
