Abstract

Perkutane Techniken wie die Ballondilatation bieten in der Behandlung fast aller Komplikationsmöglichkeiten bei Hämodialyseshunts Ansatzpunkte. Sie sind gerade bei Stenosen schnell, ambulant und sicher durchzuführen. Perkutane Eingriffe können bezüglich technischer Erfolgsraten, Langzeitergebnissen und Komplikationen mit operativen Verfahren Schritt halten. Eingeschränkte Indikationen bestehen bei frisch angelegten Anastomosen nicht, eher aber bei langstreckigen arteriellen Läsionen und Aneurysmen.

Percutaneous techniques including balloon angioplasty allow to treat almost all types of complications in dialysis fistulas and grafts. Especially for treatment of stenotic lesions they can be performed in a short time and safely on outpatients. Technical success, patency rates and rate of complications compare well to surgical methods. Recent shunt creation does not preclude angioplasty, but limited success may be reached in case of long arterial inflow obstructions and aneurysms.
