Zusammenfassung
Es wird anhand 36 eigener Untersuchungen zur Technik und Bedeutung der Lipiodol-Ultra-Fluid-Hepatographie
kritische Stellung genommen. Mit Berücksichtigung der Kontraindikationen und mit vorsichtiger
Technik durchgeführt ist diese Untersuchung gefahrlos. Die Gravitation spielt eine
wichtige Rolle in der intrahepatischen Verteilung des Kontrastmittels, darum ist die
Lage des Patienten bei der Injektion von entscheidender Bedeutung. In Bauchlage wird
der ganze Lebermantel homogen kontrastiert, und kleine Metastasen können leicht erfaßt
werden. Wegen der inhomogenen Kontrastierung der zentralen Leberteile hat die Schichtuntersuchung
keinen Vorteil gegenüber Übersichtsaufnahmen. Die praktische klinische Bedeutung der
Methode kann noch nicht entschieden werden.
Summary
The technique and value of Lipiodol ultra-fluid hepatography is critically evaluated
with reference to 36 examinations. If due regard is paid to the contraindications
and the examination carried out carefully, it is a safe procedure. Gravity plays an
important part in the intra-hepatic distribution of the contrast medium. The position
of the patient during injection is therefore of considerable importance. In the prone
position, the liver capsule is evenly demonstrated and small metastases may easily
be shown. Because of the non-homogenous contrast in the central portions of the liver,
tomography offers no advantage as compared with plain films. The practical value of
this method cannot yet be ascertained.
