Significance

Polymer-supported triphenylphosphine (Pol-Ph3P) and iodine promoted the condensation of carboxylic acids 1 with amines 2 in the presence of DIPEA to give the corresponding secondary, tertiary, and Weinreb amides 3a-i in up to 79% yield.
