Significance

Corticotropin releasing factor-1 (CRF-1) antagonists are potential antidepressants and anxiolytic agents. The target molecule is an orally active CRF-1 antagonist with good brain penetration, but further development was halted owing to its long half-life and potential to accumulate in adipose tissues.
