Zusammenfassung
Herzchirurgie im Jahr 2011 beinhaltet neue Wege in Bezug auf
operative Zugänge, schonendere Eingriffe, minimalinvasive Verfahren und
technische Innovationen unter Beibehaltung der alten Ziele – der
optimalen Versorgung der meist schwerkranken Patienten mit dem
bestmöglichen Resultat für den Patienten in seiner besonderen
Lebenssituation und für seine Angehörigen. Dabei werden altgediente
herzchirurgische Prinzipien, wie die Herz-Lungen-Maschine, in moderne Konzepte,
z.B. das des endoskopischen Operierens, integriert.
