Differenzialindikative physikalisch-medizinische Verordnung bei ankylosierender Spondylitis unter Berücksichtigung evidenzbasierter Daten

Zusammenfassung

Mit fortschreitendem Krankheitsverlauf bei einer ankylosierenden Spondylitis (AS) resultieren morphologische und funktionelle Defektzustände mit konsekutiver Beeinträchtigung der funktionellen und funktionalen Gesundheit. Im multimodalen Therapiekonzept sind physikalisch-medizinische Maßnahmen oft indiziert und in Ausnahmefällen sogar lebenslang. Neue medikamentöse Entwicklungen haben inzwischen zu deutlichen therapeutischen Fortschritten geführt, dennoch ist für eine Erhaltung der Funktionalität der Einsatz differenzialindikativer physikalisch-therapeutischer Maßnahmen – meist in Kombination mit einer effektiven analgetischen und / oder antiinflammatorischen Therapie – unabdingbar. Ziel des Beitrags ist eine Darstellung der physikalisch-therapeutischen Behandlungsoptionen bei AS unter Berücksichtigung evidenzbasierter Daten.

Abstract

Ankylosing spondylitis (AS) usually progress towards morphologic and functional deficits and thus cause impairment of physical health. Physiotherapeutic strategies are indispensable and are often required for life. Although substantial progress has been achieved in the development of new drugs, physiotherapeutic strategies are indicated to improve vertebral and articular function, often in combination with a sufficient anti-inflammatory and analgesic therapy. This article presents an overview of the current physical therapy options in AS and the evidence.
