Was ist zu beachten? – Immunsuppression und Hepatitis-C-Therapie nach Lebertransplantation

Trotz der Effektivität antiviraler Therapien sind Infektionen mit dem Hepatitis-C- Virus (HCV) eine Hauptursache von Leberzirrhosen [ 1 ]. Bis zu 35 % der Patienten mit chronischer Hepatitis C entwickeln innerhalb von 20 bis 25 Jahren eine Leberzirrhose. Therapie der Wahl ist eine Lebertransplantation [ 2 ]. Allerdings sind nach der Transplantation HCV-Reinfektionen nahezu unvermeidbar, was eine effektive antivirale Therapie erfordert. Es gibt klare Belege, dass eine vollständige HCV-Eradikation das Langzeitoutcome verbessert und positive Wirkungen auf die Fibroseentwicklung hat [ 1 ].
