Welchem Patienten droht PDNV nach ambulanten Eingriffen?

Übelkeit und Erbrechen sind bei jeder 4. Operation in Narkose eine Komplikation. Inzwischen sind Scoringsysteme zur Risikoabschätzung von perioperativer Übelkeit und Erbrechen (PONV) bei stationären Aufenthalten gut etabliert. Bislang gibt es aber noch keine Evaluationsmittel für das Risiko nach der Entlassung bei ambulanten Eingriffen (post discharge nausea and vomiting; PDNV). Da die Zahl ambulanter Eingriffe zunimmt und eine effektive Übelkeitstherapie schwierig zu Hause durchzuführen ist, wäre eine Methode zur Risikoeinschätzung und zur Planung einer Prophylaxe wünschenswert.
