Kapselendoskopiesysteme

  • Mit der drahtlosen Kapselendoskopie ist heute die Darstellung der gesamten Dünndarm- und Dickdarmschleimhaut risikoarm möglich.

  • Es sind mehrere Kapselendoskopiesysteme für die Dünndarmdarstellung von verschiedenen Herstellern auf dem Markt. Das verfügbare Kapselendoskopiesystem für die Kolondarstellung zeichnet sich durch längere Aufzeichnungsdauer und einen weiten optischen Winkel aus.

Indikationen

  • Die Dünndarmkapselendoskopie ist für verschiedene Indikationen (u. a. obskure Gastrointestinalblutung, Eisenmangelanämie, Morbus Crohn) validiert und ist in der diagnostischen Abklärung etabliert.

  • Der Stellenwert der Kolonkapselendoskopie wird derzeit in Studien untersucht und ist noch nicht abschließend geklärt. Einsatzbereiche sind die Detektion von Polypen, chronisch entzündliche Darmerkrankungen und Patienten nach inkompletter Koloskopie.

Kontraindikationen

  • Eine bekannte Stenose des Gastrointestinaltraktes ist die wichtigste Kontraindikation der Kapselendoskopie. Bei Verdacht auf Stenosen kann mit der auflösbaren „Patency“-Kapsel die funktionelle Durchgängigkeit des Darmes vor dem Einsatz eines Kapselendoskopiesystems geprüft werden.
