Die Spanische Grippe und ihre Behandlungserfolge durch Homöopathen weltweit^{[ 1 ]}

Zusammenfassung

Die „Spanische Grippe“ ist die bislang verheerendste Pandemie in der Geschichte der Menschheit. Weltweit wurde die Seuche auch von Homöopathen behandelt − angeblich erfolgreich. Das Zahlenmaterial ist jedoch oftmals unpräzise. Deutlich wird überdies eine Diskrepanz zwischen ambulant und stationär behandelten Fällen. Zudem existierte keine einheitliche homöopathische Therapie. Die Behandlung durch Homöopathen war vielmehr polytherapeutisch. Die Bewertung der Therapieerfolge ist vielschichtig und muss nach verschiedenen Kriterien erfolgen. Keinesfalls darf sie in der reinen Wiedergabe zeitgenössischer Angaben und Erfolgsmeldungen liegen.

Summary

The „Spanish Influenza“ was the most devastating pandemic so far in the history of mankind. The disease was also treated by homeopaths worldwide. Even today the apparent success of their treatment is referred to. Unfortunately, the data often is imprecise, although the discrepancy between cases of treated outpatients or inpatient is clear. There also did not exist a unitary homeopathic therapy. The treatment by homeopaths was rather polytherapeutic. The assessment of such therapy and its success is complex und must accommodate various criteria. A pure reporting of the contemporary descriptions and announcements of success cannot be seen as the sole information source for evaluation.
