EIO update

Let the authors speak …

Dear colleagues and friends,

Who actually “makes” a scientific journal? There are many who devote their work, knowledge and expertise to it: of course, the Editor-in-Chief, the Co-Editors as well as the entire Editorial Board, the Editorial Office and the publisher's staff. But first and foremost, an academic journal consists of the research done and the articles written by its authors!

For this reason, we decided to give a voice to some of the authors of the first issue for this month’s update on our new journal Endoscopy International Open. We have chosen the article of Patrick Yachimski from Vanderbilt, USA, as well as the research done by Takao Itoi et al., Tokyo, Japan. Please find below a short summary of their articles and their career as well as the reasons why they decided to publish in EIO.
