Abstract

An improved solid-phase synthesis of the neuroprotective tripeptide, glycyl-prolyl-glutamic acid, bearing a hydrophobic tail to create an amphiphile is described. The new solid-phase synthesis was adapted to prepare several analogues bearing differing hydrophobic tails.
