Zusammenfassung
Seit den 1990er Jahren ist die Homöopathie auf Kuba Bestandteil des staatlichen Gesundheitssystems.
Zum Einsatz kommt sie auch in der Veterinärmedizin und im Agrarbereich. Ausbildungen
werden staatlich organisiert und finanziert. Forschung und Evaluationen versuchen,
Nutzen und Wirtschaftlichkeit der Homöopathie zu ermitteln. Wie andere auf Kuba praktizierte
naturheilkundliche und nicht-konventionelle Verfahren ist die Homöopathie bei Patienten
und Ärzten zunehmend beliebt. Die verschiedenen Fachdisziplinen werden gleichberechtigt
und interdisziplinär angewandt und sind − wie die Homöopathie − einzelne Bausteine
einer polytherapeutischen Behandlung. Offenbar steigert ihr Einsatz das therapeutische
Outcome und die Zufriedenheit der Patienten, während Behandlungskosten sinken.
Summary
Since the early 90ies, homeopathy in Cuba has been a part of the national healthcare
system. Homeopathy is also applied in veterinary medicine and in agriculture. Homeopathic
education is organized and financed by the State. Evaluations and research are aiming
to determine the benefits and cost effectiveness of homeopathy. Like other naturopathic
and non-conventional methods, homeopathy is becoming increasingly popular with patients
and physicians. All these different disciplines should be applied equally and interdisciplinary.
Homeopathy is only one element among others in a polytherapeutic treatment. Apparently
the therapeutic outcome and patient’s satisfaction increases, while the cost of treatment
decreases.
