Die vorliegende Studie beschäftigt sich mit der Oberflächenqualität von Glas- und
Zirkoniumdioxidkeramik nach Politur mit diamantversetzten Silikonpolierern. Dafür
wurden Messungen im Profilometer durchgeführt und es wurden rasterelektronenmikroskopische
Aufnahmen erstellt. Es konnte gezeigt werden, dass durch die Polituren klinisch vertretbare
Oberflächenqualitäten erreicht werden können, deren Rauigkeit im Bereich natürlichen
Zahnschmelzes liegt.
Roughness of zirconia and glass-ceramic after politure with a diamond containing silicone
polisher
This study analyzes the surface quality of glass-ceramic and zirconia after politure
with diamond-containing silicone polishers. Therefore the surface was analyzed with
using profilometry and scanning electron micrography. It could be shown, that the
surface quality on both ceramics after politure is sufficient for clinical use. The
resulting surface roughness are in the range of natural dental surfaces.
