Angina bullosa hemorrhagica (ABH) is a rare disorder that can be defined as a subepithelial blood bubble, whose pathogenesis is not related to systemic causes or with any vesiculobullous diseases. It is most commonly found in the soft palate and may be manifested by recurrent episodes. In general, the lesions are asymptomatic and appear during chew of hard foods, they break up shortly after the onset forming ulcers that heal after a few days. Patients can feel queimor and xerostomia. It is more prevalent in adults, with similar prevalence in males and females. The prognosis is favorable, and the conventional treatment is to reassure the patient and the kindness of pathology and to prescribeanti-inflammatory drugs and analgetics for pain control, antibiotics and antiseptics buccal to avoid secondary infections.

We present a case of ABH whose treatment was combining homeopathic remedies and herbal antiseptic mouthwash, with very satisfactory results. C.M.P.M. patient, male, 58 years, brunette skin, single presented a “blood blister on the roof of the mouth after bursting”. After clinical examination, a treatment plan was established based on prescription of simillimum in association with symptomatic medications. After 1 year of homeopathic treatment, the patient was well balanced emotionally and had a remission of physical symptoms, including the non-recurrence of ABH that had affected his oral cavity frequently. Homeopathic treatment is presented as a very effective therapeutic method for the control and prevention of angina bullosa hemorrhagica.
