Introduction:

The pharmacist is conscious of his delicate role, since he contributes to the patients' health education and helps to face their contingent of daily ailments. When patients undergo a homeopathic therapy, he backs up the physician by giving adequate support during treatment. For instance, if the patient should suffer a sudden disorder, he could be able to suggest a remedy to establish a fast resolution. Therefore, competence would allow him to assist the patient in a targeted way.

Objective and methods:

To obtain the best results and to contribute to the therapy success, the professional has to integrate her/his competence through an adequate homeopathic training. Auto-observation and provings are the key to conceive the individual illness, because they provide the clues to understanding the analogy between patient's and prover's symptoms in order to identify the simillimum.

Results:

The frequent asthmatic crises of a pediatric patient induced the pharmacist to suggest a homeopathic doctor to the parents. Since the patient and the physician were brought together, the pharmacist, has accompanied the child, and especially during asthmatic crises in coherence with the chronic homeopathic treatment. Without such knowledge, the pharmacist would have not been able to intervene adequately. The baby at the present time appears well, has no longer asthmatic crises and the homeopathic therapy has ameliorated her general and relational life.

Conclusion:

If the physician and the pharmacist are not connected, distant or not in agreement, the patient will be made insecure. The cooperation among health professionals, especially in view of medical assistance should be investigated, in order to secure patients and their therapies.
