Introduction, background:

Constitutional treatment of children with ASD/ADD/ADHD often hits a roadblock and children do not progress beyond a certain point. The best indicated remedies which helped, fail to make an impact or benefit these children, even after prescribing them at higher potencies. Restlessness, hyperactivity, lack of concentration, fidgeting, impulsivity, aggression, still dominating after years of homeopathic treatment, causing despair to the parents and forcing them to other therapy concepts in search of help.

Aim, objective, question:

How to overcome the standstill to make progress in the treatment?

Method, description:

The children who were not showing improvement with the indicated remedies in certain key symptoms like excitability, impulsivity, restlessness, fleeting concentration, communication difficulties, etc. were re-assessed. They were then treated with short term intercurrent remedies, as depicted in the Chronic Diseases.

Result, conclusion, discussion:

Prescription of intercurrent remedies in between the ongoing constitutional treatment, very effectively removed many key behavioral traits such as: impulsivity, hyperactivity, restlessness, fidgetiness and also significantly improved the levels of concentration, understanding, attention spans, interpersonal interactions, sociability, speech and communication in the affected children, which had been persisting.

The classical method of wait and watch using a single indicated constitutional remedy does not always yield the desired results. This also raises the question on the validity of the assumption that a single constitutional remedy alone, which is prescribed on the core or central character of the child, will bring about complete healing.
