Zusammenfassung
Gegenstand: Beschreibung von Klinik, Diagnostik, Therapie sowie Verlaufsuntersuchungen einer
Stute mit einem über mehrere Stunden bestehenden partiellen Uterusvorfall. Patient: Eine dreijährige Selle-Français-Stute wurde mit partiellem Vorfall eines stark ödematisierten
Uterus im Notfalldienst vorgestellt. Der Uterusvorfall bestand seit mehr als sieben
Stunden. Die Stute war im siebten Monat tragend gewesen und hatte in der Nacht vor
der Einlieferung in die Klinik verfohlt. Ergebnisse: Nach gründlicher Reinigung und chirurgischer Versorgung wurde der Uterus unter Sedation
und Epiduralanästhesie reponiert. Die postoperative Therapie erfolgte mittels Breitspektrumantibiotika,
Entzündungshemmern, Oxytozin, Infusionen und Uteruslavagen. Die Ultraschallbefunde
von Uterus und Ovarien waren drei und sechs Monate nach dem Eingriff unauffällig.
Darüber hinaus wies die Stute einen normalen Sexualzyklus auf. Schlussfolgerung: Dieser Fall zeigt, dass die Behandlung eines länger als sieben Stunden bestehenden
partiellen Uterusvorfalls erfolgreich sein kann.
Summary
Objective: Description of clinic, diagnosis, therapy and follow-up of a partial uterine prolapse
of several hours duration in a horse. Patient: A three-year-old Selle Français mare was referred to the emergency duty for a strongly
edematized partially prolapsed uterus. The prolaps existed for more than seven hours.
The mare had been pregnant in the seventh month and had a history of abortion during
the night before admission. The horse had a uterine prolapse of more than seven hours
duration. Results: Following sedation of the horse the uterus was cleaned, treated surgically and repositioned
under caudal epidural anaesthesia. Postoperative therapy consisted in broad-spectrum
antibiotics, nonsteroidal antiinflammatory drugs, oxytocin, infusion and uterine lavages.
Echographic examination of uterus and ovaries three and six months after therapy did
not reveal any abnormalities. The mare had a normal cycle. Conclusion: This clinical case shows that the treatment of a partial uterine prolapse of more
than seven hours duration can be successful.
