Zusammenfassung
Obwohl jede einzelne Skelettdysplasie selten auftritt, formen alle Skelettdysplasien
gemeinsam eine Gruppe von Erkrankungen, die relativ häufig auftreten. Es handelt sich
um eine inhomogene Gruppe von Entwicklungsstörungen, die durch Fehlwachstum und Fehl-form
charakterisiert ist. Der Ausprägungs-grad reicht von milden bis hin zu letalen Verlaufsformen.
Der Artikel gibt eine Übersicht über radiologische und klinische Merkmale, Differenzialdiagnosen
und Ätiologie der häufigsten Skelettdysplasien und erklärt die grundsätzlichen Behandlungstrategien.
Summary
Although individual bone dysplasias are rare, as a group they are relatively common
and have a significant effect on morbidity and mortality at all ages. The skeletal
dysplasias form a large group of hereditary disorders characterized by abnormal growth
and malformations of bone and cartilage. The clinical severity ranges from mildly
affected short stature to lethal forms. In this brief introduction, radiologic classification,
diagnosis, differential diagnosis and the principle rules of treatment are given.
