Computer Applications in a Hospital Pharmacy^{[*)] [**)]}

The basic aims and the implementation of a computerized pharmacy system in a 900-bed university hospital are briefly described. The system was designed in and around a conventional pharmacy structure. Development of a pharmacy data base, computerized floor stock control, management of the central pharmacy and integration in the overall hospital information system are presently the main features of the new medication system. More clinically oriented objectives are aimed at in the continuing development of the system.

Die Grundziele und der Aufbau eines elektronischen Apothekensystems in einem Universitätskrankeii-haus mit 900 Betten werden kurz beschrieben. Der Systementwurf wurde der konventionellen Apothe-kenstruktur angepaßt. Die Entwicklung einer pharmazeutischen Datenbank und einer elektronischen Lagerbestandkontrolle, die Verwaltung der Zentralapotheke und die Integration in das gesamte Krankenhaus-Informationssystem sind zur Zeit die Grundzüge des neuen Medikationssystems. Mehr klinisch orientierte Ziele werden bei der Weiterentwicklung des Systems verfolgt werden.
