Zusammenfassung

Die aktuell zur Verfügung stehenden Formen der Apheresebehandlung sind wirksame und komplementäre Therapieoptionen u. a. für die Behandlung unterschiedlicher Autoimmunerkrankungen. Neben dem therapeutischen Plasmaaustausch stellt die Immunadsorption einen wichtigen Fortschritt unserer Behandlungsmöglichkeiten dar. In vielen Bereichen der Medizin, insbesondere in der Nephrologie und der Neurologie, konnten wichtige autoimmunologische Mechanismen als Auslöser unterschiedlicher Erkrankungen identifiziert werden. Bei vielen dieser Krankheitsbilder ist die Apheresebehandlung eine wertvolle Therapieform, insbesondere bei ausgeprägter klinischer Symptomatik oder bei therapieresistenten Verläufen. Im Rahmen dieses Artikels wird auf den Einsatz der Aphereseverfahren bei nephrologisch und neurologisch bedeutsamen Erkrankungen eingegangen.

Summary

With the currently available forms of apheresis treatment, we have effective therapeutic options, especially for the treatment of autoimmune diseases. Beside therapeutic plasma exchange, immunoadsorption represents important progress in our treatment options. In many areas of medicine, in particular in nephrology and neurology, important autoimmune mechanisms have been identified as the cause of various diseases. For many of them, a treatment with apheresis is a valuable form of therapy, especially when the clinical symptoms are severe or the disease is resistant to the initial therapy. The scope of this article regards to the meaning of the use of apheresis therapy in different nephrologic and neurologic diseases.
