In ihrem Beitrag in DMW 10 / 2015 fassen Hohnloser et al. [6] die Ergebnisse von DOAK-Studien zusammen, deren Autoren mehrheitlich Angestellte der Herstellerfirma waren oder einen Interessenskonflikt angaben [3] [4] [9]. Inzwischen sind unabhängige Publikationen zu DOAK-assoziierten Nebenwirkungen und Komplikationen erschienen, die von Vitamin-K-Antagonisten (VKA) selten oder gar nicht berichtet wurden [1] [10] [12] [15] [16].
