Monolithische Restaurationen im Seitenzahnbereich: Ein Update zur klinischen Bewährung und Anwendung

Für die Herstellung monolithischer Vollkeramik-Restaurationen im Seitenzahnbereich liegen bislang Daten für hochfeste Glaskeramiken und monolithische Zirkonoxidkeramiken vor. Beide Materialgruppen sind für die Herstellung von Einzelkronen geeignet, sofern die materialspezifischen Aspekte der Zementierung und die Mindestmaterialstärken beachtet werden. Während für Einzelzahnversorgungen indikationsbezogen zwischen den beiden Materialgruppen gewählt werden kann, ist für monolithische Brückenversorgungen im Seitenzahnbereich den Zirkonoxidkeramiken aufgrund der bislang vorliegenden klinischen Daten für zahn- und implantatgestützte Versorgungen, ihrer größeren Indikationsbreite und der reduzierten Materialstärke insbesondere im Konnektorenbereich der Vorzug zu geben.
