Zusammenfassung

Ein chirurgischer Ansatz Bei 5–13 % aller sportbedingten Verletzungen handelt es sich um chronische Leistenschmerzen. Leistenschmerzen können sowohl die Leistungsfähigkeit eines einzelnen Sportlers als auch die eines ganzen Teams beeinträchtigen. Bei manchen Sportlern erfordern Leistenschmerzen nur eine vorübergehende Auszeit von Training und Wettkämpfen, für andere hingegen können sie das Ende der beruflichen Laufbahn bedeuten. Wie findet man die richtige Ursache, wann wird konservativ und wann sollte operativ behandelt werden? Mit diesen wichtigen Fragen beschäftigen sich Marjolein A.M. Mulders, Klaas in ’t Hof und Daniel Haverkamp.
