Sind dissoziative Symptome Beeinträchtigungen der emotionalen Verarbeitung und können als solche direkt behandelt werden? Forschungsergebnisse stützen die Annahme, dass Gedächtnisrekonsolidierung ein zentraler Wirkfaktor in mehreren Psychotherapieformen sein könnte: Sie könnte bei traumabedingten Beeinträchtigungen der emotionalen Verarbeitung Relevanz haben und hat generelle Implikationen für das Verständnis von Veränderung in Psychotherapie.
