Muhammad Ali Khan et al. Efficacy of self-expandable metal stents in management of benign biliary strictures and comparison with multiple plastic stents: a meta-analysis

This meta-analysis found that covered self-expanding metal stents (CSEMSs) show excellent efficacy regarding resolu„tion in benign biliary strictures. Moreover, in comparison with the use of multiple plastic stents, both strategies are equally effective but CSEMSs require fewer endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography (ERCP) procedures to achieve clinical success.
