Viele Menschen scheinen daran zu glauben, denn laut aktuellen Daten der WHO geht in Europa der Trend hin zu immer weniger körperlicher Ertüchtigung. Dennoch verletzen sich in Deutschland jährlich ca. 2 Mio. Sportler und ca. 5 % davon benötigen einen Arzt [1]. Da die Zahl unterschiedlicher Sportarten stetig zunimmt, steigt auch die Bandbreite der Verletzungen, mit denen man es im präklinischen und klinischen Alltag zu tun bekommt.
